Welcome to Human Lifespan. The human lifespan varies quite a bit. Humans live on average 39.5 years in Swaziland and 81 years in Japan. The oldest confirmed recorded age for any human is 122 years though some people are reported to have lived longer. People like Ray Kurzweil and Aubrey de Gray are pushing the envelope as to what the human lifespan might become – even to the point of escaping death via understanding of our biology and reducing the causes of aging.
Kurzweil also incorporates technology in order to help or supplant our biology – realizing that our software (our mind) has much more capable of lasting for eons than our mortal bodies.
